Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – September 25, 2025 – The Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Green Transformation Project, led by VinUni’s Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X), was proudly honored at the ESG Business Awards 2025 in two key categories: Collaborative Partnership and Cross-sector Collaboration.
The ESG Business Awards is a prestigious international event that brings together pioneering organizations from across the Asia-Pacific region, celebrating outstanding achievements in Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

The Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Green Transformation Project exemplifies effective collaboration between academia, local government, and the community. Building on this partnership, over 50 experts from VinUni, along with world-renowned universities such as the University of Oxford, Duke University, and the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), worked hand-in-hand with local authorities and residents to develop the Master Plan for Green Transformation – now officially approved and implemented by the Khanh Hoa provincial government.

Beyond strategic planning, the project has:
- Organized ESG and cross-sector green–digital transition training for more than 100 local officials;
- Developed and delivered three practical solutions for green lifestyles, sustainable tourism, and eco-friendly transportation;
- Created direct impact on 1.2 million residents and 11,000 businesses in the province.
The project’s success and far-reaching impact have since expanded to Binh Dinh and Ho Chi Minh City, highlighting VinUni’s pioneering role in advancing green development and digital transformation, realizing Vietnam’s Net Zero commitment, and fostering sustainable cross-sector collaboration for the future.
