A Sustainable Pricing Framework for the High-Speed Railway in Việt Nam

This research project will develop a sustainable pricing framework for Vietnam’s transformative North-South High-Speed Railway (HSR). To ensure this massive national investment succeeds, our goal is to balance economic viability with social equity and environmental sustainability. We are examining different ticket price scenarios to forecast impacts on ridership, revenue, and carbon emissions, ensuring the HSR becomes an affordable, financially sound, and green engine for national development that benefits all citizens.

This project will develop a context-specific, multi-objective pricing framework, to enable Vietnamese leaders to make strategic decisions that balance competing priorities.
The objectives and planning should be sufficiently detailed to justify the proposed effort and enable effective progress monitoring.
