Biography
Dr. Nguyen Tu Anh is a senior macroeconomist with over two decades of experience in economic policy research and strategic advisory in Vietnam. He currently serves as Macroeconomics Research Project Director at the Smart Green Transformation Center (Green-X), VinUniversity, where he leads research on macroeconomic analysis, economic forecasting, and provides policy advice on digital and green transformation for the Government of Vietnam and local authorities.
Prior to this role, Dr. Tu Anh held several key leadership positions, including Director General of the Center for Economic Analysis and Forecasting at the Central Party’s Economic Commission (CEC), Director General of General Economic Issues in CEC, and Deputy Director General of the Monetary Policy Department at the State Bank of Vietnam. He was senior researcher at Central Institute for Economic Management (Hanoi, Vietnam) and acted as Director of Department for Macroeconomic Policy. His work has significantly contributed to macroeconomic policy formulation, institutional reform, private sector development, and international economic integration, green transition, and labor market.
Dr. Tu Anh earned his PhD in Economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, specializing in economic growth. He is also an independent member of the National Wage Council and has led or contributed to numerous high-level policy research projects for the Government and international organizations. Combining strong academic expertise with extensive policy experience, he is widely recognized as a leading expert in macroeconomic policy and development in Vietnam.
Dr. Tu Anh has published extensively in local and international academic journals including Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical of Population Studies. His publications cover various areas such as finance, labor market, internation integration, fiscal and monetary policy, …
