March 9, 2026

On the afternoon of March 9th, the Smart Green Transformation Center was thrilled to welcome a talented group of research fellows from Duke Center for International Development (DCID) for an inspiring knowledge-sharing workshop. The event marked an important step in building an international research collaboration network in the field of Green Policy.

Connecting Knowledge and Visions for Sustainable Development

More than a routine academic meeting, the workshop served as a meaningful platform for exchanging ideas on sustainable development. During the session, the Green Policy research group under the GREEN-X project and experts from Duke University engaged in in-depth discussions on several key research initiatives currently being implemented by both sides.

The discussion focused on identifying policy optimization strategies that can effectively support the green transition—not only in Vietnam but also at a global scale. The interaction between the extensive practical experience of senior experts and the innovative thinking of young researchers provided diverse perspectives on pathways toward achieving Net Zero goals.

Towards Future Breakthroughs

The event concluded in an open and collaborative atmosphere, with several new research directions emerging from the discussions. Insights shared during the workshop on green policy implementation and smart governance are expected to form the foundation for future joint research initiatives, contributing to positive advancements in both the academic community and policy practice.

The collaboration between VinUni and Duke University once again reaffirms GREEN X’s commitment to serving as a bridge of knowledge, bringing Vietnam’s green solutions closer to international standards.
