GREEN-X Workshop to Standardize Survey Instruments for Research Projects

March 6, 2026

On March 6, 2026, GREEN-X Center organized a specialized workshop to review and refine survey instruments supporting research projects under the Green Policy and VIGGI research groups. The workshop created a platform for in-depth discussions on survey design methodologies and measurement frameworks for ongoing research initiatives.

The workshop aimed to optimize questionnaire logic and measurement variables, thereby ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data for research activities. During the session, research teams collaboratively reviewed and discussed survey instruments for several key GREEN-X projects, including:

  1. CarbonFootprint Monitoring and Management System for Tourism
  2. Firms’ Reactions to Green Regulatory Policies: Trust, Participation, and Compliance in Southeast Asia
  3. Strategic Dynamics and Behavioral Drivers of ESG Manipulation in Vietnamese Firms
  4. Accelerating Equitable Adoption of Green and Digital Technologies for Vietnam’s Low-Carbon Transition (GTECH-ADOPT)
  5. Industry Innovation Index in Tourism, Aquaculture, Food Processing, Energy, Footwear, and Finance-Banking Industries
  6. Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI)/Provincial Green Index (PGI)

Discussions during the workshop focused on strengthening questionnaire structures, identifying appropriate measurement variables, and ensuring the practical feasibility of real-world data collection. Through intensive exchanges among researchers, the workshop contributed to refining survey methodologies and enhancing methodological consistency across projects within the GREEN-X research ecosystem.

In addition to the participation of principal investigators and research assistants from the Green Policy and VIGGI teams, the workshop was honored by the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, including: Mr. Nguyen Vo Hung – Deputy Director of the Innovation Support Center, National Innovation Center, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai – Research Specialist.

The participation of experts and government representatives provided valuable practical perspectives on survey design and the development of measurement indicator systems. These discussions not only helped improve the quality and rigor of research methodologies, but also ensured that GREEN-X research projects remain closely aligned with policy-making needs and the practical demands of Vietnam’s green development.

The workshop concluded with several important recommendations for improving survey instruments, laying a strong foundation for the upcoming data collection and analysis phases of the research projects. These efforts will continue to support evidence-based policymaking and contribute to advancing Vietnam’s green transformation and sustainable development.
